PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION

NohaTerény is not just an accommodation…
..the place is also a kind of creative field for those interested in active recreation. We place great emphasis on community building, and in this spirit we recommend the following programs, whether for families, groups of friends, campers or corporate team builders.
There are programs that you can organize yourself, as well as those that we or a dear friend of ours hold. We ask that you arrange the latter at least two weeks before your arrival.
Clay, shape, create! Ceramics workshop for children led by Ceramic Artist Nati Nemes or our kind help Enikő Trombitás. There is nothing more memorable than returning home with your own creation after a holiday full of experiences. During clay making, children experience the joy of creation and develop their manual dexterity. The finished ceramic objects can be taken away glazed and fired, thus preserving the creations.
Raku is an ancient Japanese reduction firing technique that is performed outdoors. During the firing, small cracks appear on the ceramic object, the glazes are reduced, which is why our dishes take on different color tones than we are used to. Raku is not only an artistic technique, but also an exciting experience. During the process, we get stunning unique pieces and the result often surprises us. The class is led by ceramist Natália Nemes, prior arrangement is required.
Immerse yourself in the embrace of nature, connect with the rustling of the leaves of the trees, the gurgling of the stream. We invite you to an easy forest walk in the hilly Palóc region. It is not just a simple excursion, during "forest bathing" you can get closer to the forest, in a way you may not have tried before. Through easy-to-learn exercises, you can sense the energy and radiance emitted by the trees. Conscious time spent in nature has a beneficial effect on health and also helps to process stress. During the program, Ági Berecz guides the participants through forest experiences.
In the middle of the Cserhát, in the neighborhood of Terény, on a volcanic peak, is the castle of Szanda.
The castle ruins are the jewels of the andesite peak, from which a stunning panorama opens up before us. You can see from Börzsöny to the Mátra Mountains from here on a clear day. It is a popular hiking spot in all seasons, and hikers can choose from several hiking trails on the way to the ruins, including the blue trail signs. From NohaTerény, it takes just over an hour to reach the hilltop.
There is nothing more cozy than gathering around the warm glow of a campfire after dark. The dancing flames stop the passage of time, the crackling of smoldering branches creates an intimate atmosphere, whether for a family or friends' gathering. It is also perfect for a team building program, it brings the company together. If you would like to spend the evening by the crackling fire, please let us know, so we can provide the necessary tools and ingredients.
Have you ever created in nature? And with nature? With trees, leaves, pebbles... Landart, or in Hungarian, Landscape Art, uses the elements of nature in its creation, without harming them. The outdoor installation is exposed to the constant change of the environment, the cycle, the weather, thus representing the eternal cycle of nature, the constant change of the environment. With Zsófi Megyeri, you too can become a land art artist.
In collaboration with Magosvölgy Ecological Farm and TerraSzanda, you can participate in a super ORGANIC KITCHEN workshop.
Magosvölgy: visit to an organic farm, presentation of kitchen garden basics, informal conversation - 2 hours
TerraSzanda: 3-4 hour programs:
1. herb collecting and distilling workshop, you can take the distillate home
2. miso making workshop, you can take the miso home
3. fermentation workshop, you can take the fermented vegetables home.
Accommodation: NohaTerény
If you know it, then you know it, and if you don't, then it's worth trying it... This game that requires precision and muscle control is similar to some ancient folk games, e.g. snurr. The essence of the game is for the opponents to get the bocce (large ball) as close as possible to the pallino (small ball). The players usually place the balls on the field by rolling them. The game can be played one-on-one, in pairs, or even between teams of three. Prior agreement is required to use the bocce court.
The Hunnia Lace Museum opened in Terény in 2011. The museum presents the different types of Hungarian lace, the techniques of lace-making, the birth, development and flowering of Hunnia lace. Visitors can see how this special and wonderful handwork that requires a lot of attention is made. As part of the museum visit, you also have the opportunity to try the art of hand-made lacemaking yourself, in the form of a 1-hour workshop. The museum's collection is a family heirloom.
